AWAKENED ALIVE:
A Yoga & Adventure Retreat
10/26 - 10/30, 2025 | Blue Ridge Mountains
A soul-stretching immersion for the wild-hearted, yoga-loving, joy-chasing you.

YOU WERE MADE FOR THIS
To rise with the sun, barefoot and breathless from laughing.
To plunge your feet into a river and embody the essence of freedom.
To hike until what was heavy feels light and Earth herself reminds you of your own boundless potential.
To sit under a starlit sky, wrapped in your own aliveness and the magic of the present moment.
If you’ve been waiting for an excuse to unplug, to play, to return to the version of you who feels capable, connected, and candescent…
This is your sign.
This is your season.
This is your retreat.

Why Now?
Fall in the Blue Ridge Mountains is a fairytale.
The leaves go full technicolor. The air tastes like apples and woodsmoke. And time feels different— like you can stretch a day wide enough to fit both adventure & rest.
Back home, the days blur together.
There’s always one more thing to cross off.
One more text to send.
100 tabs open, operating at full-speed
But here…
Somehow, one day feels like a lifetime.
And not in the exhausting, never-ending way—
In the “I can’t believe how alive I feel and how much we experienced,” kind of way.
There’s space here.
To be quiet.
To get loud.
To let the wind rustle your hair.
To be a little feral and a lot free.

Why These Mountains?
North Carolina is more than a beautiful backdrop. It’s a portal.
Some of my earliest, wildest, most vivid outdoor memories were made here—on these trails, in these woods, beside this river.
It’s where I did the most intense & gratifying hiking of my life. Laughed so hard I cried. Learned that nature doesn’t just support healing—it initiates it.
Formed over 1 billion years ago, the Blue Ridge Mountains are the second oldest in the world. They carry an ancient wisdom. A quiet power. They hold you like a secret and invite you to come home—not just to them, but to yourself.
Here, you’ll feel both embraced and expanded. Like you belong and like you’re just beginning.

Who This Is For
You don’t need to be a seasoned yogi or expert hiker. You just need to be willing. Willing to get curious. To get a little messy. To try. To trust.
This retreat welcomes diverse ages, backgrounds, and bodies. We believe the mix is magic. Whether you’re craving quiet reflection, playful connection, or both—you’ll find your rhythm here.
Meet Your Guide

Hi, I’m Shelby.
Yoga teacher. Nature devotee. Fun-seeker.
And your guide for this wild and wonder-filled week.
I’ve spent years weaving together the practices that make me feel most alive—movement, adventure, presence, poetry.
And I created this retreat to give you permission to let them into your life, too.
My classes combine breath, stretch, strength, stillness, and story. I’m trained in Vinyasa, Yin, Thai bodywork, Yoga Nidra, & Reiki—but more than that, I’m here to hold space. For your mess and your magic. For the version of you who’s ready to come alive again.
My approach to teaching harmonizes effort and ease, inviting in moments of challenge, along with feel-good stretches. I prioritize offering a safe and welcoming space for humans and yogis of all walks of life to feel a sense of belonging, express authentically, and connect deeply.
My classes unite the asana practice with practical tokens of wisdom for how what unfolds on our mats can be translated into our lives off the mat.
Travel is a huge part of my life, just like yoga, and I feel absolutely delighted to bring like-minded souls along for some of the adventures that light up my soul!
Life itself is my greatest muse, and I believe that an equal trust in our own capability and in the universe itself is the recipe for a life of fulfillment, excitement, success, and joy.

What to Expect
✧ Yoga—Daily, Wild, and Real
We’ll meet by the river, in the woods, beneath the sky. Movement designed to help you feel into your body—not force it. One or two movement and meditation classes per day.
✧ Two Guided Hikes
One to a waterfall. One to a lookout peak.
Because hiking taps you into something primal. Something human. Something that makes you whisper, “This. This is what I was built for.”
You’ll move, breathe, sweat, and see the world from the top of it.
✧ Playful Rituals & River Frolicking
Yes, there will be peaceful stillness.
And yes—there will be giggling in cold water, marshmallows by the fire, connection workshops, and belly-laugh moments that crack you wide open.
✧ Rest & Integration
We’ll balance adventure with deep, nourishing downtime.
Unstructured hours to nap in a hammock, journal in the sun, or stare at the trees with no agenda.
✧ Sample Day (because no two will feel the same):
8:00 AM | Vinyasa Flow by the River
9:30 AM | Farm-style Breakfast
10:30 AM | Waterfall Hike & Forest Play
2:00 PM | Lunch + Free Time (naps, journaling, sunbathing encouraged)
6:00 PM | Dinner
8:00 PM | Yin & Yoga Nidra under the stars
