About the event
These classes are designed to teach you how to get upside-down!
Each flow is mindfully sequenced to light up the body parts needed to safely approach the peak pose.
In week one we will work on foundations. This means developing core strength, and playing with trust while inverted in standing forward folds. The first peak pose is headstand. Whether you have a strong headstand practice, or have never tried, you will gain something from this class!
In week two we will revisit a drill from week 1 with a fresh perspective, and continue opening the hamstrings and strengthening the shoulders. The second peak pose is forearm stand.
In week 3 we will utilize props to intensify our core control and compression strength. We will also give some love to the wrists, because the third and final peak pose is handstand!
Each class will be a Shelby style flow. If you have taken my class, expect familiar shapes and transitions.

2. My style of vinyasa yoga is a dynamic and flowy approach to the practice with movements that feel both delicious and fiery in your body.
We will open with a brief discussion of goals from those who’d like to share. We will then begin practice with a short meditation before we get into the movement.
These classes are meant to be challenging, but fun! So… whether we nail every pose, or flip and flop all over the place, doesn’t matter. Who we are when we don’t get the pose is more important than who we are when we do. Approaching our edge is a great way to evolve :)
